Minutes - Wednesday, September 3, 2003 The meeting was called to orderbr Club President Doug Gwilt. It was motioned byScott Babcock and seconded by Jeanne Ferguson to accept the minutes of the August meeting. The financial report was accepted on a motion from Kelly Forbes, seconded by Tony Sobon. DISCUSSION: Doug appologized for his actions at the State Race, realizing it ws not the right thing to do. He will continue out the year. The Club is glad to see him back. Banquet: The banquet will once again be at Borio's on November 15, at 4:00 PM. We will be having a "kid friendly" menu with soda included during the dinner. Tony has spoken with Greg Furlong and Billy Decker about being the guest speakers. Tony will follow up to see if they express any interest in coming. The banquet committee will ask Andy Fusco if he would be our Master of Ceremonies again this year. Dirt Week: Doug had a suggestion that we put an ad in the Area Auto Racing newspaper to hopefully get some people to attend. Bob said he thinks the cost is about $55.00. Doug will set up an ad. Syracuse State Race: Tony said he would like to run our state race the weekend of the Summer Nationals next year. Tony will keep up on this and get all the information for next year. If not our State Race day, then we would like that date to be a Syracuse points race on Saturday of the Nationals. Judging: The Club had many complaints about the judging this year. Doug suggested we discuss this and maybe put two judges up and two judges down on the track. Also, possibly give the flagger the right to make a call if he sees it. Back to School Race will be September 14. We will need 35 trophies for that race. The next meeting will be October 3, 2003 at the Western Ranch.
