From the Backstretch...

Opening the night was the Novice Microd class. On the first lap, Morgan Wilcox, Dylan Zacharias, heat winner Caden Sobon, and Tyler Mills came together out of two. Tyler Buck restarted on the pole, and led the rest of the race. It was his first career victory. Dylan Zacharias brought the 40 car to a second place finish, and Derek Warren picked up third. The Mills brothers, Jason and Tyler finished next, I just don't know in what order. Morgan Wilcox finished sixth and Sobon seventh.

Next came the Limited Microd class. After two early cautions, the race finally got going. Jennifer Gwilt led until Zack Babcock passed her on lap three. He finished first in the 8 car, Kala Proctor pressured him near the end of the race, but finished a close second. Gwilt came in third, Megan Jordan fourth and Stephanie Smith fifth.

The last of the microds, the Stock class, came next. Nico Ambriati led the first three laps, then was passed and spun in turn four. All went well until lap 14 when Ambriati cut turn two a little sharp and turned the 3 car onto its side. He was fine and went on to finish third, behind Tori Wilcox in second and the winner, Andrew Schartner in the 9 car.

Novice Open Wheel was next. On lap 11 Dustin Hampton brought out the yellow in turn two after leading the beginning of the race, but the race would be delayed a while after Dylan Kimball's 7 leaked fluid on the track. After cleaning the the oil all the way around the track, the race resumed. Zack Babcock completed the sweep of his classes by winning, and I have no idea how the rest of the cars finished, because Dylan Kimball had a mechanical problem on the last lap causing everyone to become very mixed up.

The Superstock Open Wheel division fired up next. The race was caution free aside from Andrew Schartner spinning the 99 car in turn two. Tori Wilcox held off Ricky Donovan to pick up the victory. Schartner finished third and Ashley Westcott came in fourth.

Now came the exciting Stock Open Wheel class. The race started without Andrew Ferguson, who joined the race on lap three after having a mechanical issue. After some intense battling for position number two between TJ Hearne, Derek Natoli, and Nico Ambriati, the 3 car of Ambriati went into the outside wall on the frontstretch. After the restart, Spencer Smith drove the 4 car to victory lane leading all 20 laps. TJ Hearne held on to second, and Nico Ambriati came in third. Despite a hard charge at the end of the race, Natoli finished fourth and Brittany Zacharias came in fifth. Andrew Ferguson drove into sixth after his early mechanical problem was solved.

Limited Open Wheel took the track next. On lap seven, Nicole Donovan and Kyle Wilcox got together in turn two bringing out the first yellow. Two laps later, Becca Eastman and Nicole Donovan made contact in turn four, resulting in a flat tire on Eastman's 20a car. Nick Graziano looked as if he might become the second first-time winnner of the night, but he and Wilcox wrecked on the backstretch, with Graziano's 11 ending up on its side. Wilcox led the field on the restart and went on to win, with Nicole Donovan surviving both accidents to finish second. Graziano drove across in third, Tim Anderson finished fourth in his first race, and Eastman got fifth after suffering a flat tire.

The fastest class, Mod Open Wheel, was last. On lap two Tommy Felicia's 98 leaked oil on the track. For the second time of the evening, the track was cleaned. After scrubbing the entire racing groove of the track, the Mods were allowed to restart. Andrew Schartner spun the 9 car twice during the remainder of the race, and Spencer Smith led the race in its entirety. Tommy Felicia was credited with third after not being able to finish due to his oil leakage.
